"rent a room" scheme at PPR. But need to rent house near new work location.

I have just been told I need to relocate for my job.

We have a three bed house close to my husbands work that's in negative equity (so selling not an option).

We are thinking of renting out two rooms in the house and my husband would stay in the third room a few nights a week.

I would rent a house for me and kids close to my new work location and husband would drive to us for weekends and maybe one night during week.

Would we still qualify for the rent a room scheme in this case?

Is this house your PPR? Do you live there currently or do you live elsewhere?

Yes it is our PPR, we currently live here and do not own any other property. Sorry I wasnt clear
