Renault Laguna Key Card

Just wondering does anyone knows if I can get a laguna access card repaired. A piece of the electronic unit within is broken.

To be honest punter I doubt it very much.

Aren't they a sealed unit.

What do renault say?

Renault recon they can't be fixed. EUR 200 for a new one. I wouldn't have thought it would be difficult to fix to be honest as it is just the button that broke off the electronis pad. Looks like it just needs to be saudered (if thats the word !)back on.

If it is just a broken button then it could no harm to try and solder it again.

Ask around your friends find someone that does electrics or electornics.

I remeber when the laguna was launched and a salesman told me that the cards were supposed to be bulletproof. Load of sh1te.
