We have a tiny little job that we need a tiler for. Probably only 30mins work so tiler would need to be living/working in maynooth to be bothered. If anyone here knows anyone interested, Thanks.

Why not put a description of the job up on;

http://www.tradesmen.ie/getquote.asp

If nothing else the quotes you get might sway you towards Sue Ellens suggestion.

As an aside,

A relation of mine once got an electrician in to quote for what she considered to be a tiny job on her little old fuse board as it was just making crackling noises every now and then.

The quote for the essential house rewire was several thousand €'s and would take 4 days to complete.

Tiles are one thing but electrics (especially crackling ones) and heating are to be steered well clear of :eek:

Mmmm once bitten, twice shy as regards tiling so definitely would rather call in the professionals.
Also the reason we need a quick fix up is down to the really bad job carried out by someone we hired through tradesmen.ie. That's the second time we've had a bad job from people hired through that site. Also giving that wide berth from now on.

We'll try the local builders providers for recommendations.

It's getting increasing difficult to get a tradesman to do a small job. They are getting so busy again they can't be bothered to do the smaller jobs anymore. If it's a relatively easy job ask the tiler if he has an apprentice who might do it as a nixer.
