Hi

This question relates to anti social behaviour in my estate. The landlord has ignored all calls from the Management Company and are saying that their tenants are being harassed by us (not true!). What power have the Management Company to evict these guys? Can they do anything at all? The tenants are not registered with the PTRB if that makes any difference?

Re: Question re obligation of Management Companys

You need to look at your lease and your house rules. Most leases will have something to say that the management company has a responsibility to uphold the house rules. The house rules should have something to cover anti-social behaviour (depending on what kind) and the managing agent should be able to use these house rules to get some sort of reaction out of the landlord.

On a side note, if the tenants are not registered with the PRTB then the landlord probably isn't either and I believe the Revenue is interested in hearing of such persons... ;)

Yes. The list of registered tenancies is available on www.prtb.ie the list gives the property details but not normally contact details for the landlord.
