I bought €10 of fuel from an unmanned Certa (Tesco) station on the 22nd of Feb. Checking my bank statement subsequently I note the amount of €100 was debited from my account. I understand this to be a "hold" to ensure adequate funds are available to pay yet, to date 8th Mar, the original purchase amount has not been reconciled against the hold and the hold is still listed as a pending transaction. Am I correct in thinking I'm at a loss of €90 here or not? What might be the cause of such a delay?
