My mortgage will be finished soon and I will receive the deeds to the property. The bank will not hold the deeds for me once the mortgage is repaid.
I do not want to store this document myself. Is there any other option apart from solicitor to store the deeds?

I heard a lawyer on the radio recently. Apparently most people end up putting them on top of a wardrobe! But seriously, I believe some people obtain a fireproof safe for them.

If the title is registered in your name with the Land Registry, then the deeds are not all that important.

In the past when most properties were not red with the land registry, the deeds were the main, only, proof of ownership and so physical possession of the deeds was very important.
