Can I apply for planning permission in the name of my daughter who is 14 years old. Build a house for her for the future. How would planning authorities look on ths ?

Thanks

I don't know where you are living, but can you prove she needs houseing? Is she working in the area, and planning on staying in the area? Does she have a family and need the space for them?

It seems unlikely to me that you could make a case for her needing a house.

From the locality.

At 14 no she does'nt need housing.

Just wondering can it be done.

I would try and build now rather than later.

The application form does'nt state that you have to give your date of birth.

Also planning permissions have a limited life span of 3 to 5 years after which you need to reapply.

Thanks.

On a related matter when planning is granted as owner occupier how long does it stand for before the owner occupier can sell the property.

this sounds more like, you want to build in your daughters name and then sell in your daughters name so she is owner occupier and then avoid capital gains tax ? and a good way to hide any cash lying around maybe !
