We'd love to eventually build our own house in Kildare. However, being from Dublin (although we lived 3 yrs in Athy and 2 in Maynooth), I haven't a clue about land, planning permission etc etc. We would also be running a business from home in Kildare. However, does the fact that we are now living in Dublin exclude us from obtaining planning permission (the little research I've done this far indicates that you should be living in the locality?).
Does anyone have any tips on how to go about buying land and getting planning permission granted.
