Pension Increase for Spouse

My wife has her pension allowance with mine as a dependent relative, will the €5 increase be for both of us ie x 2 = €10?

The DSP budget factsheet indicates that the increase for qualified adult rates will be €3.30pw. So your total increase will be €8.30pw.

Where did you get €3.30 from, it says €5 ? And 2 x 3.30 = 6.60

A pensioner, claiming for him/herself and a qualified adult will receive a €5 increase for themselves and a €3.30 increase for their qualified adult.

The SW Rates sheet shows the 2016 and 2017 rates, including the increases for qualified adult dependants, that's where I found the €3.30 amount. It's not mentioned in the main text of the factsheet.

For example, State Contributory Pension rates are:

State Pension (Contributory)
Under Age 80
Personal Rate €233.30 (2016 rate) €238.30 (2017 rate)
Qualified Adult €155.50 (2016 rate) €158.80 (2017 rate)

The total pension increase is €5 + €3.30 = €8.30pw
