Paying someone else's motor tax

Just a quick question. A workmate asked me could I pay his motor tax online.
There shouldn't be any issues with a different name on a card paying for someone else's motor tax?

If you have their renewal pin, their insurance details and the money, then there is no problem.

I have been there several times over the years with cash strapped grown up children
