Ulster Bank recently reduced their Loyalty Discounted Variable from 3.2% to 3.1%.
I assumed that the new rate would be automatically passed on to customers but it seems we have to apply for it. Is this the normal routine?
Also, presumably if the rate had gone to 3.3% we would automatically be charged the new rate?
Is there any rationale for this?
