Overtaking on white line question

They must caution you if they want a statement from you. You then have the option of making a statement under caution or telling them that you have nothing to say. You can also tell them you will make a statement at a later date after seeking legal advice.

You must also be cautioned if a prosecution is being considered against you. This caution is often found in a written form on parking tickets and speeding tickets that are sent to you in the post.

Which is more likely?

a) You overtook him on a solid white line
b) He gets his kicks out of making up allegations and calling into people at random with false allegations?

Unfortunately b) is becoming more and more frequent.

I would suggest taking legal advice

I know (a) is becoming more frequent than (b). (b) is usually the opinion of someone who got caught and is not happy about it!
