Notification Appointment with Registrar for civil wedding

Hi Guys,

just curious as to others experiences.

I'm on the crsappointments.ie site trying to book a Notification Appointment for a civil marriage (you need this at least 3 months prior to your wedding day), as I hope to have a civil ceremony at the registry office in 2017.

The problem seems to be that no appointments are available no matter how far out I throw my possible wedding day.

Would I be better off ringing them to see what the story is? Or just give up and head north of the border for a rather more reasonable 28-day notice period wedding instead?

Thanks,
Serenn.

I think you have to ring, I've read a lot of comments about this problem on weddingsonline forums.

Hiya,

good advice!

I rang, got my notification appointment and a provisional wedding date!
(The registrar told me that the online system simply doesn't work at all and there are no plans to fix it.)

Thanks,
Serenn
