I was down in my local Post Office in Blackrock today posting a parcel. On one side of the public area of the post office were piles of parcels and packages. Some in sacks, some loose. The staff were asking their customers to leave their parcels alongside where people were queuing. Anybody could have helped themselves to any number of items. I asked the staff member could they take my parcel in behind the counter and I was told that there was no room. (there was plenty of room). I said that it was not very secure and she responded by saying "That's the way we do things here".
