Music for photo DVD suggestions please

I'm making a photo DVD for an 85 year old person. Would love suggestions for appropiate music to remember and celebrate the years.
Boolavogue is number 1 for me and hope to end with "Going Back" Phil Collins
So basically looking to fill in the years, their own home, marriage, children, grandchildren etc.

Look forward to your replies :)
 
Maybe try and search for popular songs in for the years the photos were taken so that the music matches the time the photos were taken

Eg. If the photos were of a wedding in say 1983 then search for number 1 songs from that year in Ireland and match the music to the photos

Mite help with the trip down memory lane
