Moving one of two mortgages on a house

Hi,

I have one house with 2 mortgage accounts - the original mortgage on a variable rate, and a top up mortgage on a tracker rate. I'd like to move the variable rate account to a lower interest bank, but would like to retain the tracker account as is. Is it possible to move one account to another bank while retaining the other with the existing bank?

No, the new bank will want the house as security for the mortgage and the old bank won't release it without both mortgages being cleared.
