Laya Moving off ConnectCare 100

I'm changing jobs next month. My current job pays for ConnectCare 100 for myself & my missus. My new job pays for some VHI plan for just myself.

So we need to do something about her plan. She's 40. Having a look at the various websites is like looking through mud and any plan I seem to chose costs a fortune.

Should we stay with ConnectCare 100 (if possible) or is there something better she should move to.

ConnectCare 100 has full cover for a private room in a private hospital, so a good alternative worth considering with Laya is as follows;

1.Simplicity Plan; price 1087pa (1117pa); all public, private and hi-tech hospitals covered, inpatient admissions excess 100 x 2 max per year,
day case lower excess 50 per visit, good day to day cover - the first 100 not allowed.

If cover for a private room in a private hospital is not a priority, the following 2 plans are also worth considering;

2. Simply Connect; price 1063pa (1093)pa; public, private and hi-tech hospital cover, inpatient excess max 150 x 2 per year, day case 50 per visit, good day to day cover, 50% refund for consultant visits, dental, gp visits etc. Max day to day refund 50% of 600 = 300.

3. Simply Connect Plus; price 1169pa (1202)pa; public, private and hi-tech hospital cover, inpatient excess max 150 x per year, day case 50 per year, good day to day cover, 50% refund for consultant visits, gp, dental, etc. Max day to day refund 50% of 1000 = 500.
