Motor Legal Expences Cover insurance option - cost around 25.00 for a year from my current insurer - is it worth to pay for it?

In which case will I actually benefit form this cover option? - this is a main question.
My inderstanding is:
if I was in fault for accident, 3rd party liability of my insurance will cover payments for damaged property/injured parties if any?
So how court case could arise first of all in case I have proper motor insurance?
Also, in the policy booklet wordings is bit different, for case 3 it is
"... criminal prosecution brought agains you ..."
instead of
"... motoring prosecution brought against you ..." on website,
is this a same thing?
It also mention Legal Helpline, any personal experiences of using it?
