Missing solicitor and ?missing deeds

Hi Folks

My wife and I bought a house in 2006,and now the lender has informed us that the deeds were never registered with them by our solicitor.The solicitor is now no longer contactable,despite repeated attempts by us in this regard.Obviously we will have to engage a new solicitor,but I was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences in this regard..

My mam did and is still going through the process.

Her solicitor was Thomas Byrne ... the disgraced solicitor.

Its been a very long and expensive process.

But your first step Daithi is to contact the Law Society. They will tell you what to do next. Basically you'll have to get a new solicitor and start all over again.
