Maximum 'Percentage of no claims discount'?

Hi,

I got a motor insurance renewal quote today, my 'Percentage of no claims discount' is 55%, and has been for a couple of years (from Eagle Star and the RSA). I have 7 years no claims with full licence since late 2004 - what is the maximum value this can be?

I read somewhere 60% but that it can differ across insurers?
 
I have 6 yrs no claims bonus (the maximum I can get with current insurer) with a discount of 50% quoted
 
No Claim Discount percentages vary from Insurer to Insurer, it's entirely at their discretion what they offer.
