Visiting Madrid on weekend Sept 24, but travel dates flexible Coincides with Atletico Madrid at home V Real Madrid. I'd love to attend this game but would there be any hope of 2 tix?? ( At a push, her indoors would politely decline, and I'd try for 1 tik). As my dates are flexible, would I be better off waiting till the following weekend when Real are home against Las Palmas? Any steer on this welcome.

I went to an Atletico match a few years ago, I was able to buy tickets online via the club website. Didn't try Real as they were away that week.

Tickets for La Liga are usually much easier to get the than the English Premier League. Most of the teams' own websites sell them. The frustrating element is the fixtures schedule whereby match timings are only fixed a few weeks in advance. No two La Liga matches take place at the same time generally and are spread out from Friday evening to Sunday night. This makes booking good value flights almost impossible.
