Luggage capacity of cars

I'm going down to Cape Town next month with my wife. We'll be meeting one of my cousins and his wife in CapeTown and I want to hire a car which is big enough to carry luggage for 4 people for a 21 day holiday.
I have no idea what size car I need to get and any advice would be appreciated.
I'm probably a cynic,but believe that asking the hire companies could be expensive.

I've always found www.argusrentals.com to be very competitive anywhere in the world.

I've no commercial or other connection with them btw.

I have just got a quote for an Audi A4 auto for £ 792 incl all insurance and I think I'll go for that.
