Guys,

Does anyone know roughly what you're allowed to live on whilst bankrupt in the UK?

I'm currently earning a mere £1300 after tax (£20k salary) and would like to know if they would take any of that away from me.

Thanks

NM

This would be typical.

Income (per month) (A)
Source of above income (i.e. salary/benefit etc) £

No moolah
Expenditure (per month)
Mortgage £
Rent £ Whatever you pay
Gas £ 60 typical
Electricity £ 60 typical
Water £ 20 typical
Council Tax £110
Telephone £40
Housekeeping / Food £275
Clothing £45
TV rental / Licence £12
Prescriptions £20
Gifts / Emergencies / Newspapers etc £10
Car Tax / Insurance £50
Travel £whatever you spend plus petrol costs if you run a car
Car Repairs £25 if you have a car
Life / Household Insurance £
Sky £
Child Maintenance £
Any other essential items (please list those items below)
Holiday £50
Hair cut £10

Really you can have an allowance for whatever is reasonable for you.

the only set sums are the housekeeping and the clothing, everything else is what it costs you

Well that all adds up to £787 and doesn't even include rent/mortgage so No Moolah I cannot see how they would want any of the £1300.
