If today the full transfer of a portfolio is fully processed (I can see it from the 2 brokers when I log in) this means that I need to check ex-dividend dates (whether before or after) in order to understand which broker gets the dividend payment for each share I transferred correct?
In other words, if ex-dividend date is today or before today then the old broker gets the dividend. If it's from tomorrow the new broker gets it correct?
