ICB & Closed Credit Card

Hi Guys

I've an old credit card facility that was closed in 2012 and "scheduled deletion date" per my ICB is April 1st 2017. I'm just wondering if I run a check on myself on April 2nd, will this have automatically been deleted?

I had a row about interest with MBNA before closing the account and the last payment was late. I want to apply for a mortgage but don't want to get into explaining the story to another lender.

So I'm just wondering if the deletion is immediate or is there a months administrative delay or something?

Apparently there is a number on your latest report you can call. I couldn't find a an answer to your specific question on their website.

Request a copy of your ICB record and find out. It costs €3 and you'll have it Monday or Tuesday.

Great stuff Thomas! Bit of a relief I'd say. So it is automatically deleted on the date specified. It's good to know.
