House contracts pending grant of probate

Hi, Would anyone be able to advise us on the type of contract we may need in order to purchase our house once probate is granted to the seller? We have agreed to rent the property until probate is granted and assumed we would only get a rental agreement. However someone mentioned we should be able to get contracts signed which include a clause 'pending grant of probate' for the seller. Any advice would be VERY much appreciated! Thanks

I bought a house that needed to go through probate. I think it was a standard contract with the addition of an option for me to walk away from the deal if the probate wasn't through in 3 months. The seller didn't have the same option as I was concerned if the probate took a while and the value of the house increased in the mean time the seller might have been tempted to put it back on the market.

The probate took about 6 months in the end
