Hi,
My husband and I have just moved back to Ireland follwing 10 years abroad. We are looking for a policy for ourselves, 40 & 38yrs, and our 3 daughters, 5yrs, 3yrs and newborn.
Any advice as to which policy please?

Child Options;
Laya healthcare have a special offer promotion for children at the moment, worth considering, where you pay for the first child and the rest are
free of charge. The following 2 plans are part of the deal, details as follows;

1. Laya Essential Health 300; price 234 per child;(pay for 1st child and the rest are free. total cost 234pa) all public, private and Beacon hospital
covered. All childrens hospitals in Ireland are public but the hi-tech hospital Beacon hospital Dublin covers a range of childrens surgery for children
over 3 years of age. Beacon hospital excess 300 x 2 max for all admissions per year(regardless of the amount of admissions). Day case excess
125 per day case procedure. There is no excess to pay in any public hospitals. No/limited day to day cover on this plan.

2. Laya Flex 125 Explore; price 343 per child;(pay for 1st child and the rest are free. total cost 343pa) all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals
covered. All childrens hospitals in Ireland are public but this plan covers the 3 hi-tech hospitals - Mater Private, Blackrock Clinic and Beacon hospital Dublin. These 3 hospitals cover a range of childrens surgery for kids over 3 years of age. In these 3 hospitals, there is an excess of 125 to pay on admission for a stay or for surgery. Day case excess 50 per day case procedure. Limited day to day cover on this plan.
There is no excess to pay in any public hospital.

Adult Options;
The following options with Laya healthcare are worth considering, offering different levels of cover, according to your requirements;

1. Laya Essential Health 300; price 895pa; all public, private and Beacon hospital covered. Cardiac and orthopaedic surgery fully covered in
Mater Private and Blackrock Clinic. Private hospital excess 300 x 2 max for all admissions per year. Day case excess 125 per day case procedure.
Limited day to day cover on this plan.

2. Laya Simply Connect; price 1100pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered. Private/hi-tech hospital excess capped at 150 x 2 max per year for all admissions. Day case excess 50 per day case procedure. There is no excess to pay in any public hospital. Good day to day
cover included, 50% refund for gp visits, consultant visits, dental, optical etc - subject to a max refund per year of 500. (50% of 1000 = 500).
