Putting my houe up for sale in D15 - Castleknock! Have no experience using estate agents - who should i use in the area?

I used Flynns in Castleknock on 2 occasions many years ago, and found them good.

We sold our house in Laurel Lodge this time last year. My advice is to get a few quotes - here are the ones we got. The first figure was the price they each thought the house would fetch.

Sherry Fitz: 470, Guide 460, Fee 1%
Baxter: 460, Guide 450, Fee 0.75%
Flynn: 465, Guide 440, Fee 0.75%

We went with Flynns and once bidding began we got to €470 in a week. By far the most important marketing tool is myhome.ie and ideally you want an EA who is responsive and won't annoy prospective buyers. One more thing to consider is what sort of a presence the EA has in the area - they are selling you prospective buyers, if they don't have these to my mind they're not worth dealling with.

Stephen, perhaps you could ask some of your brokerage customers who they have found good?

The market "leaders" in castleknock/ carpenterstown would be sherry fitz/ flynns / Baxters, just based on my own personal observations in the area

I got our own 4 bed semi valued recently- flynns said 700K and sherry said 650K. Suprised as always thought sherry were the most aggressive price wise
