Entertaining In Dublin

Hi Guys,



I have to entertain my boyfriends kid brother in Dublin for the weekend, he's 16. Any suggestions where to bring him?? :)
 
Alot of those places on AAM key post on things to do in Dublinare all about eating and drinking, don't know of the suitability for teenage boys. I have 3 teenage boys and believe me there is very little to do. They usually end up 'hanging out' in each others houses, playing football in UCD, snooker in Rathmines or cycling hither and yon! The Art Gallery has a special Orpen exhibition on at the moment which may interest the arty type. Captain Americas is great for a meal with young people.
 
Thanks, I never knew that it was so bloody hard to entertain teenagers. If it was an adult i'd have a list of things to do and places to bring them but a 16 yr old boy .....Ahhhhhhhhh help !!
 
Yeah but will i be able to get tickets ??? I heard that their so hard to get? Is that true? Cos it would be a great thing to go to.

I dont get what you mean by this.

Obviously Babs didn't get tickets when they were first released - a few have now gone on general sale which is what I was informing her of.

Have they? There didn't seem to be any available, i.e. it searched and then 'no matches' etc.
 
Have you considered taking the lad to the cinema? Some films out at the moment that a 16 year old might enjoy:

Wedding Crashers :D
Fantastic Four
War of the Worlds (v. impressive, but not as good as Independence Day IMO)
Batman Begins

How about Go-Karting? Here's a list that covers Dublin as well as the rest of the country.
 
Thanks for all your help guys, going to see if i can get tickets to see the match and maybe take him go karting (thanks for the link CCOVICH) or to the cinema on sunday. Mixed in with shopping hopefully he will be happy. ???
 
The GAA has announced that a small number of tickets for
tomorrow's Bank of Ireland football championship quarter final between
Dublin and Tyrone have been returned from the participating counties and
are currently on sale from the Ticket Office at the rear of the Cusack
Stand (until 7pm this evening) and from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide
while stocks last.
