Just got a quote from my engineer. Just wondering if its a bit expensive?

Planning Submission (including house plans as discussed with Damien):

Sounds there or thereabouts. Does the assessment for the septic tank cover percolation testing?

Good question. Will find out. If it is not inc. what will i be expected to pay?

Your 'P' or 'T' test results determine what treatment plant you will require and also what type of percolation type/area you will require ie standard or raised bed/linear meter.
You will have to pay to get the test holes dug, this will require a JCB of sorts, costs abour 2-300 euro
