Hello, am wondering if one works for 1 week(max 3 weeks), is that person eligible for social welfare scheme?
i fall short of 1 week contribution to qualify for maternity benefit and the social welfare worker advised me to get a week's insurable employment. My due date is in 3 weeks so left me very little time.
i am exploring the option of working in my sister-in law company (private company Ltd)for 1 week.
i don't know what she will have to do to get me into insurable employment for 1 week /implications on the company from TAX point of view/or any complicating process involved of getting me registered for social welfare scheme etc . i don't want to get her into trouble if it's going to be too much trouble just for my 1 week work.
can anyone advice me before i approach her?
Thanks!
