An elderly relation of mine with hearing and memory difficulties was calling directory enquiries (11811 etc) frequently and, due to the hearing problem was spending a long time on the line and, thus spending a mint on calls.
We advised her to call a family member instead if she required a number and, as a precaution and, with her consent, had directory enquiries barred from her line.
We now discover that pure charge almost €5 per month for this service.
Is this right and fair ?
