Company in Liquidation but trading away next day .

A company has gone into liquidation, they owed my small company and lots of others lots of money.
But yet they are now trading in the exact same type business the following day. Under another name , not a limited company name but as a sole trader..Is this legal ?

Sadly I believe it may be, or certainly be a bit grey. I was informed of a case of this exact same thing happening about two years ago. Numerous contractors were stung for tens of thousands each and the owner just went sole trader using the same name as if nothing had happened.

thank you , interestingly all the machinery , jeeps car, just simply disappeared before the liquidators meeting.

My god its so unfair /unjust to those who do the right thing .
