My closing date is only a few days away. I'm ready but the vendor's solicitor is saying that a CGT form (or lack of) is stopping them from closing (the house I'm buying is not the vendor's ppr). I'm finding this hard to believe. Surely there are procedures in place whereby the solicitor witholds some of the proceeds if there is a CGT implication and which should allow the sale to go ahead.
