Just got a quote of €900 to get the cavitys on a 1960's 3 bed semi filled with beads, IAB certified contractor states their is no IAB certification for Foam and their are good reasons for this but didn't get around to stating them.

If anyone cares to comment on the following I would be most grateful:
How does the price compare:
What kind of reductions will I see in heat loss:
anyone know the problems with Foam:

I know the problem with beads, drill a large hole and the foam pours out.

Potential problems with Foam:
Insulant properties can deteriorate over time, off-gasing of the chemicals used. Requires frequent drilling of walls to ensure even dispersion of the foam. Check out the IAB website for more specifics of the criteria applied to these products.

Blown bead is generally coated with an adhesive that bonds bead to bead on contact, so that even if you drilled a hole all the beads shouldn't run out.
