Hi All
I am going to UK at the weekend to buy a Corolla.
I am wondering what the procedure is with regard to Vehicle ownership?
Do you sign the VRC as you would here when you purchase?
If anyone could explain the procedure, it would be much appreciated

Regards
M

Hallo Mr Gronholm (how goes the WRC?)

The VRC equiv in the UK is the V5 - normally the seller completes the bottom of the V5 and sends to the DVLA who send out the new registration docs to the new owner.

However, the DVLA will NOT do this for non UK residents. Your options are to get the seller to complete the bottom of the V5 and give to you; you can then submit this to the Revenue in Ireland as proof of ownership. Alternatively you can apply to the DVLA for a "Form of Permanent Export" (however, this can take over 3 weeks to process) and you then submit this to the Revenue as proof of ownership.

There is a very good thread on this over on boards
