this concerns car and house insurance
car insurance is up soon and just wondering some of these insurance companies are uk home based (were eu regulated) ,thinking about the malta insurance fiasco ,these uk companies are now non eu so where do we now stand with getting and having insurance from them

They are not going to be non-EU until UK pull the trigger on article 50. And then you will probably see a lot of them just set up brass plate companies in the IFSC. So i wouldnt be worried about it now.

And even then, you are not dealing directly with them it will be managing general agent - the insurer you approach - that has to sort the mess.

Even then, they'll still be EU companies for the duration of the 2 year negotiation period following that trigger being pulled.

Assuming you believe that it will only take 2 years.

OP, You are safe as houses for a few years yet.

True, Article 50 set out a 2 year time limit after which their membership ends if no agreement is reached, but there is an option to extend that if both sides agree to extend.
