Good evening all,

So, we have booked our holidays in a place in the above region. Its called les gennets and looks good. We have a very busy 5 year old son and there is loads for him and us to do. We are going Cork-Roscoff and driving down from Roscoff. Its approx a 4.5 / 5 hour trip

What I am looking for is tips for the trip, journey tips and advice, motorway driving advice, shopping advice etc etc. Also Is there any thing I need to do with the car beforehand to prepare ? its a 2011 Insignia.
Any and all replies appreciated and answered

Thanks in advance

Get the re-alignment kits for your headlights.

Make sure you have the required safety bits and pieces, see [broken link removed] and here. Think Halfords stock cheap breathalysers that will do the job.

Plenty of speed cameras on the autoroute, and they don't advertise their presence. Also, it is illegal to use any device that can warn you of the location of cameras, either fixed or mobile, with fines of up to €1500, though not sure how much that is enforced.

Also another query.Got a quote from the AA of €120 euros for european breakdown cover for the two weeks. Worth it ?

You may have EU breakdown cover with your car insurance already... have you checked with you car insurance company? If so, get details of what you are actually covered for (fine print)..
