Hi All,
In this year 2007 i have completed a land deal, which I am due to pay C.G.T. in Oct 07.
I also have a home in Spain which i paid a deposit on in Nov. 2006 and the remainder in April 2007, I have registered for tax in Spain and have my tax number in place, but I am not as yet a resident of Spain. This home I stay in quite often at least one week every month.
Can anybody explain to me what the revenue criteria is to qualify for CGT tax exemption here in Ireland, while living abroad, ie how long does one need to be abroad etc.etc.
Regards Fredda.

Thank you Clubman, but no I could not the correct information i needed from that revenue site, can you or others please help me out.
Fredda

This may simplify matters for OP: if the sale is of land in Ireland, there is Irish CGT payable in Ireland regardless of your tax residency.

(incidentally, If you are already tax resident in Spain, it is perhaps possible that there may also be CGT payable there.)
