I setup advertising boards in sports clubs around the country. These measure 4ft x 3ft. At the moment I'm using a VW Polo Saloon and can only transport 1 board at a time. Used my girlfriends Peugeot 307 when my own car was out of action. Worked out well as I could push the back seats forward and could fit two of the boards in the boot. Getting rid of my own motor and looking to spend between 8 & 10K. Not into cars at all. The main thing is that I can fit two of these boards at a go when required. This only happens maybe twice a month. Don't want to buy the same car as my girlfriend & want something that looks decent (not a car van) The VW Passat looks great but probably isn't ideal for transporting the boards - any ideas what I should go for?
 
Buy hatchback or estate

Passat don't to HB so estate.
Laguna, octavia, mondeo, etc all have option of HB or Estate.

I would be tempted to bring along one board when you goo looking and just try it.

Those estates look a bit naff but the hatchbacks seem to do the job. Yep, I was going to bring those boards along just to be sure.
