Bonus - put into pension or not?

Hi,

Am due a bonus next month but am wondering if it's worth investing into pension as AVC or not? We have option of doing a %.

Even though there has been tax changes, is it still worth putting this into pension? I've no real need for it otherwise and if i got it, i'd probably just save it anyway so would obviously take the tax hit.

From what I understand based on this, the recommendation would be to put the bonus into the pension.
