Birthday present- 2 year old and Christening present- new baby boy

Any suggestions?

Kids have way too many toys,I groan inwardly when friends and relatives land in the house with toys as presents,I know they mean well and cannot fault their generosity but our house is like a toy shop...a large toy shop.
 
Eh, is this a serious question? Surely a card with a footballer/race car on it and a fiver in it. The child is two, what do they/their parents expect youre gonna buy, an iPod?!

Also a card for the Christening, if anything at all.

Really people have no sense these days with stuff like this.
 
Maybe a nice photo frame for the christening present,? Especially if its a first child - there will be endless photos taken! Why not ask the parents of thw 2yr old what they need? My son turned 2 recently and I would have liked to get a few pound to buy him a new car seat, but alas he got clothes n toys, neither of which he really needed. And now he wil have to sit in his old uncomfortable car seat everytime we travel until I get a few pound together for a new one! :(
