best alternative to Laya Flex 175 Excess

Policy due for renewal 1/2/19 for couple 70/74 years..Have medical card but use Galway Clinic and Galway/Mayo Univ. Hospitals. Renewal quote is £1,125.00 net each.
Some guidance appreciated.

The following Laya plan, Simply Connect, is highly recommended as an alternative option in their case. It is slightly lower in price but it has lower excesses if admitted to Galway Clinic or any other private/hi-tech hospital for a stay or day case. It also has extra hi-tech hospital cover for the 3 Dublin hi-tech hospitals - Mater Private, Blackrock Clinic and Beacon hospital. I know they are based in the West of Ireland but its extra options if
waiting lists are a problem in the west. There is also good day to day cover included. This is handy for claiming refunds for private consultant
visits, dental, physio etc. Details as follows;

Simply Connect; price 1100pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered; private hospital excess capped at 150 x 2 per year for all
admissions to any private hospital(regardless of how many overall per year), day case excess 50 per procedure. No excess to pay in any public
hospital. Good day to day cover included, refund of 50% for consultant visits, dental, physio etc - subject to a max refund of 500 per year.

I will check this out now, thank you for your help on this. Policy sounds just right - having access to Dublin hospitals important too as realistically hospitals in the west can be difficult to access nowadays. All the best.
