Being made redundant and going back to college

Hi I'd love a bit of advice on this,

My fiancée is being made redundant at the end of April. She has only been in permanent employment for three years.

She's hoping to go back to full time education in September in UCC for 1 year to retrain. She already has a Masters so she's not entitled to any student support.

We own a house together and I earn about 80K.

Will she be entitled to claim any welfare while back in college? Will she be entitled to claim any between now and September? If she's means-tested on my income as we're co-habitating and penalised accordingly does that mean I can claim a married person's tax credits even though we're not married yet?

She won't be able to claim SW while at college but if she is looking for work and available after she is made redundant, she can claim JB, which is not means-teested (if she qualifys with enough contirbutions...see keypost at top of thread for info on this) You can't claim her tax credits as you are not treated as a couple under tax rules (even if you are under SW rules!)
