help! the bank tells me they are appointing a receiver to my rental property what do i need to do? should i get a solicitor? would I be better declaring bankruptacy?
You will have to complete this information to get a meaningful answer
Information required for mortgage arrears and negative equity questions
But, in summary, going bankrupt won't help you much. The mortgage agreement allows the lender to appoint a receiver to the property. The lender will take control over the property, whether you are bankrupt or not
