Apologies if I am in the wrong forum.

Posted registered letter from Dublin to London.
Checked tracking number online.
Delivery confirmed.

However, I seem to remember that you could ask for an e-mail copy of the recipients signature in case there was a dispute over the point.
I cannot seem to find the page to request the signature ?
Is this only available for registered letters within Ireland or am I looking in the wrong place ?

Edit -

Just realised your post is about London - I'll try and find out.

This is for Ireland

On the tracking page there should be a link "view item history"

Click that and after the tracking information there's an option to download proof of delivery.

Signature and time stamp is there.

It is also possible to get GPS coordinates of the exact place it was scanned. Usually the local delivery unit can do it for you. It is extremely accurate - I had an enquiry and we found it was scanned at a similar sounding address nearby and then immediately rectified.

Thank you all.

An Post's list of the transactions ends by confirming that it was delivered to addressee in the UK.
Royal Mail's list ends with confirmation of delivery to the addressee and with an image of the signature.
The signature looks like a naughty piece of graffiti or a cave drawing !
It got there anyhow and that is all that matters.

Never thought of searching the Royal Mail. Something new learned. Much obliged.
