Hi, Hoping someone more knowledgeable than myself can help.
I was laid off a month ago, I've registered with Welfare etc., and that's all fine.
I've been offered a months work, working on some consultancy in a company - it is unlikely to last more than a month. But I will be billing for my time, as they would prefer to keep me off 'headcount', which is likely to be circa €4,000 for the month.
Advice appreciated on a number of things;
If I sign-off the welfare, but have to sign back on in 4 weeks does that mess social payments?
Should I be setting up a company, for the likes of this - though hopefully it won't be a long-term thing?
And
When billing the company, do I bill purely a flat rate and sort out PRSI etc with Revenue.
Hope someone can advise.
Many thanks
A.
