Advice on Edenmore area, Dublin 5

Viewed a really nice apartment above the Concorde Lounge in Edenmore, Apartment is great, everything we are looking for at a great price. Im not from Dublin so i'm looking for some serious advice on the area? What is the Concorde pub like? Noisy, busy? Whats the immediate are like? Iv checked a few threads that suggest Edenmore can a dodgy area especially nearby the shops and park. Any help would be welcome, would like to live in a nice area within walking distance to nice amenities.

Any flat over a pub willbe noisey, there are great bargains out there nice 1 beds from €700-€1000 2 beds from €850 depends on your budget

The Concorde is a very busy pub and I personally wouldn't want to live above it. The amenities around Edenmore are great - 10 minutes from the Dart, bus stop 3 minutes away, loads of good shops, takeaways, pubs etc but if Edenmore is still as dodgy as it used to be you would be right in the middle of it.
