Panasonic DMR-BWT720 HARD DRIVE & BLUE RAY RECORDER

I've just bought one of these after reading rave reviews. It's a brilliant machine when it works or if one lives in the UK. It seems to have some hit & miss problems recording / playing back audio from rte Saorview broadcasts.

I get top class HD video recordings, sometimes with audio, sometimes without. It performs flawlessly when recording from my free to air satellite set top box. The problem seems to be that the twin MPEG4 tuners have intermittent problems decoding Saorview broadcasts.

All of this is happening on my hard drive. I haven't put a blue ray disk in it yet.

Has anybody got one of these and experienced similar problems?

Thanks Joe for the link. It's just what I was looking for. I will post my problem and any updates there. I sent my machine back to Panasonic this morning. They are confidant that they can fix the problem. I am not too confidant.
