Buy to let Mortgages on UK property

Has anyone here come accross any agency / Bank willing to lend on overseas property? Have searched around the forum and contacted a couple of banks but none of them seem interested in providing buy to let mortgages on any foreign property?

Did you try any UK banks as the property is in the UK ?

yes, looked at that option but the process is far more involved and as such trying here first.
